Ladies and gents, today I bring to the table what we can easily call album of the year, here to set a whole new standard for pop/electronic/dance music. ‘Chromatica’ is Lady Gaga’s latest album and her most impressive (and ambitious) piece of work ever. You probably have seen already or will see billboards and ads everywhere about it but I still wanted to take a moment to personally recommend this album to you all because, even if you are not a massive fan of this genre, it deserves a listen.
The album features a level of artistry that is just unique and incomparable. I won’t go into the details of each track but to give you an idea… there’s a lot more behind the stunning beats, sounds and hooks. When it comes to creativity Lady Gaga isn’t a new face in the game, however the general public most of the time think she is always ‘reinventing’ herself, while I think she is LISTENING to herself. And this is a huge difference. What do I want to write about? How do I want to say it? Why? Shift the focus towards YOU and not them. As artists/performers/musicians we need to listen to our creativity from within, not being focused on others’ expectations, charts, or what’s popular at the moment. This album is solid proof that creativity can be channeled however you wish to, and it will come from all sorts of emotional states.
Listening to this album was a real journey and I share it with you to give you a different point of view on Pop music alongside my deepest wish to see you all succeed in what you are all doing in your respective fields. Music can heal the world – and it will, I’m sure – but for now let’s start by feeling better with ourselves and have a good dance session with this masterpiece of an album blasting at full volume.
