Hello everyone! Today I want to bring something a little different to the table, a topic that is very frequently requested: music production softwares. For those unfamiliar with the term, a music production software is a program that lets you compose, record and create music. Some common examples are GarageBand, Logic Pro, FL Studio and Cubase. They are all designed to do the same thing (obviously), however they all differ in HOW, which is why people might prefer one or the other. It’s all about ‘feeling’ and workflow; I have personally explored all of them, but it took me a couple years, with the help of my academic studies, to finally set on my favourite one: Ableton.
People always ask me: why Ableton and not Logic Pro? The answer is simple: because Ableton, to me, just makes sense. So here I am today, ready to share with you all the beauty and efficiency of this incredible software that offers countless possibilities. I have now worked within Ableton Live for 6 years and not only to record music, but also to perform it LIVE. That’s right folks, Ableton has been the leading music software for live performances for a few years. Its intuitive interface, simple mechanics and procedures, clean layouts and more make it extremely accessible to beginners and pros alike.
If you have ever been intrigued by this concept of being able to create your covers, original tracks and/or even perform them live with ease, Ableton Live is definitely a great place to start from. I know that some of you are already working with me on production even though I do not list it as a service, but that’s about to change! I have been working hard researching and putting together THE BEST resources, lessons packs, guides, tutorials, etc for you guys, and ‘Music Production’ is now a new subject that you can enquire tutoring for starting from TODAY! It won’t be added to my website and official list of services right away just to give priority slots to you guys. The public launch will happen in September 2020 and will feature a full description as per the other disciplines.
WHAT TO EXPECT: ‘Music Production’ with me will be available for Beginners and Intermediate levels, but as always content and pace will adapt to your own individual needs. If you are very passionate or curious to know more, start enquiring now (by sending an email) as my availability will be going through some major changes with the start of the new academic year of 2020.
In the meantime, I am leaving a couple of very useful links down here for you to check out and find out more about Ableton Live. They offer a 90-DAY FREE TRIAL, so if you feel like giving it a go… you will have plenty of time to explore the whole software and play with it. Hope you all have fun with this one!
